Team-Based Microblogging Service

This master's thesis focuses on the creation of microblogging services for teams. The thesis describes the research and analysis of current microblogging services and finding their strength and weaknesses. Based on the analysis is designed new service which focuses on communication between team members. It is also discussed implementation of the proposed service and on the conclusion are summarized future extensions to improve this service.

The bachelor’s thesis deals with application of internal communication facilitation tools. The theoretical part is focused on the internal communication within a particular company and on the analysis of its current tools. It also introduces Microsoft internal communication facilitation products and selects the most applicable instruments for the above mentioned company. The practical part is devoted to implementation and management of the Microsoft internal communication tools within the company. The final part of the bachelor’s thesis evaluates the effects after applying the internal communication facilitation tools.

Thesis "Software Support processes in Microsoft SharePoint Server," discusses the current state of internal communications at the Technical University in Brno, namely the Faculty of Business, Institute of Informatics. Also introduces SharePoint 2010 technology and its application to a given object. The work aims to familiarize users with SharePoint 2010 technologies and introduce basic functionality. Partial goal is to outline effective cooperation at the Institute of Informatics and simplify internal communication. The proposed recommendations include: creation of a central repository of forms, creating a communication node between scientists.
Cooperation of teams and joint leisure time of employees

The diploma thesis Cooperation of Teams and Joint Leisure Time of Employees deals with relation between frequency of involvement of individuals in cooperation of teams and their evaluation of the cooperation, information sharing and spending leisure time with colleagues. In the theoretical part, the theme is put into the broader framework of culture. The main areas affecting the problem are defined further. Emphasis is put on corporate culture, organizational climate and social relations between individuals in a company. In the empirical part of the text, the research question is described, the main hypothesis is set, the operational hypotheses are derived, the operationalization is performed, and the company and its teams that are subject of the research are presented. Subsequently, all processes and their relation being subject of the research are theoretically anchored and described based on the data analysis. In the concluding part of the text, there is an overview of mutual sympathy, ties and antipathy of members of the studied teams as well as it is found out to what extent the data analysis confirms the hypotheses determined. The bachelor thesis shows current conditions in human resources development in the DURA Automotive CZ, k.s. company. In the practical part there is a describtion of training program, which is mandatory for all employees. The training program is rated by popularity and actual aqusition of skill and knowledge. By survey was discovered motivation of employees to work. In the start of writing bachelor thesis there was needed a selfeducation session, during which author got information about the topic. Conclusions and important informations are enlisted in the theoretical part of the bachelor thesis.

The theme of this thesis is to assess the behavior while using the public communication network Facebook. The number of users of social networks increases, as well as number of photographs, videos and other input that is stored on the Internet. Particularly, young people try to maintain or further develop their contacts by this way. Perhaps it is a new type of social convergence, which is more or less based on voyeurism, or just an expression of self- realization. In any case this behavior impacts shaping the social relationships of networking users and their free time in a real life. Through a research of Facebook users, this work is looking for uncovering the thinking process of people when publishing private matters via the Internet. Its main goal is to explore the usage of Facebook, depending on the knowledge of its surround. First of all, it is interested in users' network settings experience. Because the adjustment of Privacy Policy may prevent risk of misuse of the social networking, which may lead to disruption of the privacy of all users involved. Diploma thesis "U.S. Homeland Security: Reality or Myth? Domestic Counterterrorism post-9/11" examines the change in U.S. domestic counterterrorism policy after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. More specifically, it focuses on the U.S. government's reorganization, which led to the creation of the Department of Homeland Security. As outlined in this thesis, the homeland security agenda was aimed at unifying the U.S. efforts to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reducing America's vulnerability to terrorism, and minimizing the damage and recovering from attacks that do occur. This thesis sets out to answer two interconnected questions: (1) whether the proposed homeland security agenda led to an efficient and unified system of U.S. domestic counterterrorism measures based on enhanced information sharing; and (2) why, in spite of the unique opportunity created by the 9/11 attacks, a comprehensive reorganization of the U.S. government to create a coherent homeland security agenda did not materialize. Throughout this thesis, it is argued that an efficient U.S. government reorganization was obstructed by three main factors.
